Kirsten began teaching martial arts over 17 years ago as an apprentice to Grand Master N. Hoon Lee. She eventually rose to the rank of the schools Chief Instructor and over saw its more than 800 students. As a dedicated instructor, she taught 7 to 8 classes a day and 2 classes on a Saturday’s.
She competed in full contact, WTF (Olympic) Tae Kwon Do becoming a local, state and national champion. In 2000 she competed in the official Olympic Team Trials. Kirsten introduced Krav Maga to her training center in 2000 and is currently a blue belt in Krav Maga. She is also a certified Civilian Instructor and Law Enforcement Instructor. Kirsten is one of only a handful of instructors that teaches Law Enforcement certification courses for Krav Maga Worldwide™.
As a sworn police officer working patrol, Kirsten obtained certifications in the following areas: · Computer Crimes Investigator, HTCI 2002 · Protection Children Online, OJJDP 2004 · Online Investigations, Dept. of Justice 2004, 2005 · Level II Inspector, ODOT 2003 · Defensive Tactics Instructor, DPSST 2006 · Taser Instructor (M-26 / X-26), Taser Intl. 2004, 2006, 2007 · Accreditation Magager, OAA 2004 · Field Training Officer, DPSST 2005 · I-Safe (internet safety) Instructor, I-Safe 2005 |
