About Krav Maga of Oregon

Krav Maga of Oregon offers exclusive training for civilians, law enforcement, military and amateur or professional fighters and grapplers.  Our instructors not only are certified to teach Krav Maga and the Bas Rutten MMA System, they are authorized to teach certification courses as well.

Our Lead Instructor Oneness Fish is the main instructor and licensee director for the Bas Rutten MMA System.  Oneness developed the curriculum with Bas and wrote the manual for the system.  As the only instructor certified to teach for Bas, Oneness travels around the United States and the world to certify instructors to become licensee’s of the system.  As a Law Enforcement trainer, Chief Instructor Kirsten Zulyevic has experience traveling for Krav Maga Worldwide Force Training Division and teaching certification courses for Law Enforcement officers.

Krav Maga of Oregon remains on the cutting edge of training.  Our instructors seek out the most beneficial and innovative training and seminars to keep you challenged, learning, and interested in training.

Frequently Asked Question’s

Will I have to wear a uniform to classes?

While we do require appropriate clothing for training, there are no traditional martial arts “gi’s” or uniforms.  Sneakers, tee shirts and shorts or sweats are recommended for training apparel and we carry a large selection in our pro-shop.  Jewelry is not allowed as it can injury both yourself and your training partner.

What kind of equipment will I need?

Protective equipment like a groin cup or a moth guard are recommended.  Hand wraps, 14 oz gloves, and shin/instep guards are required for training.  If these items are not purchased from our pro-shop, they MUST be approved by a Lead Instructor prior to being used in class.  This ensures the safety of everyone participating in class.

How often should I attend training?

We encourage you to attend as often as you like per week.  However most students can only attend 2-3 days per week.

Who can attend training?

Anyone 13 years old and up can participate in training.  You do not need to be   “in shape” or have martial arts experience.  We build you from a beginner’s level, moving at your pace and help you to achieve your goals through specialized training and conditioning classes.
